About KAPI

Our Story

KAPI was born from a passion for cars and a drive to support family.

Our founder holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Automotive Engineering. Working as a software engineer, the love for cars never faded. Growing up, he always dreamed of owning and driving multiple cars. When his wife began preparing for medical school, they needed a way to support their family — and car sharing made that dream a reality while turning it into income. Now, he's also pursuing a second Master's in Computer Science to keep building and growing.

In December 2023, they started sharing their cars on Turo. What began as a way to make ends meet quickly grew into something bigger — over 210 trips completed and counting. Through this experience, they learned what guests truly need and what makes a great rental experience.

Now, with that firsthand experience, they're building KAPI — a platform designed by hosts, for everyone. A better way to rent cars, built by a family working hard to build their future.
