Cancellation Policy

1. Free Cancellation Period

You may cancel your booking free of charge if the cancellation is made more than 24 hours before the scheduled trip start time. A full refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

2. Late Cancellation (Less than 24 hours)

If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled trip start time, a cancellation fee will apply:

  • Trips longer than 2 days: Cancellation fee equal to one day's rental rate
  • Trips of 2 days or shorter: Cancellation fee equal to half a day's rental rate

The remainder of your payment will be refunded to your original payment method.

3. 1-Hour Grace Period

Regardless of your trip start time, you may cancel within 1 hour of making your booking for a full refund. This grace period allows you to review your booking details and make changes if needed without any penalty.

4. No-Shows

If you do not pick up the vehicle and do not cancel your booking, you will be considered a "no-show" and no refund will be issued. Please cancel your booking if you cannot make your trip.

5. Early Returns

If you return the vehicle early, you may be eligible for a partial refund of unused rental days, minus any applicable fees. Refunds for early returns are calculated based on the daily rate and time remaining on your booking.

6. Trip Modifications

Need to change your trip dates? Here's how modifications work:

  • Extensions: Subject to vehicle availability and host approval. Additional payment required.
  • Shortening your trip: Early return refunds follow the early return policy above.
  • Date changes: Contact us to modify your booking dates, subject to availability.

7. Host Cancellations

If a host cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund automatically. We will also help you find an alternative vehicle if needed.

8. Refund Processing

All refunds are processed within 5-10 business days and will be credited to your original payment method. The exact timing may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.

9. How to Cancel

To cancel your booking:

  1. Log in to your KAPI Cars account
  2. Go to "My Trips" in your profile
  3. Find the booking you want to cancel
  4. Click "Cancel Trip" and confirm your cancellation

You will receive an email confirmation once your cancellation is processed.
